Paris-Roubaix route The race begins, as ever in Compiègne, 80km north-east of Paris, with the town hosting the start from 1977 onwards. After the roll-out the riders are met with 96km of rolling and flat roads as they head north to the Nord department and the first of 30 cobbled sectors at Troisvilles.
